The Department of State Hospitals is accepting applications for psychologists. In this role, you will be part of the team improving mental healthcare through innovative treatment methods, including:
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Psychotic Symptoms
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Trauma Informed Care (TIC)
- Cognitive Remediation
Unlicensed psychologists starting their careers can complete their clinical supervised hours at DSH!

(HEALTH FACILITY-CLINICAL-SAFETY)
- U: $8,673 – $10,373 / month
- V: $10,238 – $12,571 / month
9839 SENIOR PSYCHOLOGIST
(HEALTH FACILITY) (SPECIALIST)
- Pay range $10,257 – $13,201 / month
- Max for Senior Psych (Specialist): $158,412 / year

*RETENTION BONUS
For Senior Psychologist (Health Facility) (Specialist) 9839 and Psychologist (Health Facility-Clinical Safety) 9873:
All employees shall be eligible for retention payment as provided below:
- After 12 consecutive QPP — 1% of base salary
- After 24 consecutive QPP — 2% of base salary
- After 36 consecutive QPP — 3% of base salary
- After 48 consecutive QPP — 4% of base salary
- After 60 consecutive QPP — 5% of base salary
- After 72 consecutive QPP — 6% of base salary
- After 84 consecutive QPP — 7% of base salary
